What a great read! I love funny 'who done its' and this is a marvelous one! Plot twists make a corkscrew look straight but flow beautifully together and the characters! I'm so looking forward to the next!
This is a great book for anyone who loves a mystery who's fast pace takes you on a rollercoaster ride through paradise with unforgettable people. And if you don't howl at the dumpster diving scene you just don't know funny!!!!
Read books 1&2 in quick succession and I already miss the cast of characters. I laughed out loud, something I rarely do while weeping at the same time. The story was delightful and funny and touching and so charming. I highly recommend. A+
Just suspend total reality and go with the story. It will
entertain and delight you. A girl, a boat, a great dog,
a gecko, and friends in high places mean a pretty cool
adventure.
I enjoyed the characters and the author's writing style.

I really enjoyed this book. Bought the version on the 8th, started it on the 10th and finished it last night - came back to today to look for more by this author. I love the voice and sense of humor that Van Druff has given her main character, Jaqie. I hope there is a sequel in the near future!
I chose this book because of the unusual title. I was curious as to what the escape was. It turned out to be a delightful tale of a real heroine and hero in conjunction with ghosts , murder and movie stars. The writer did an excellent job of blending all into a fun story. Read it you will like it.
I absolutely LOVE this story. VanDruff has a writing style all her own. Few authors can write a gripping mystery and make it funny, but she does. Unique voice, great characters. A new star is on the rise. Don't miss this one.
This second entry of the Murder Off-Screen series is terrific. I read and totally enjoyed the first book Escape Route and found myself ordering and immediately reading this second book. That is quite unusual for me as I try to alternate between light cozy mysteries and gritty police procedural stories. Ms. VanDruff weaves truly intriguing tales that I simply did not want to stop reading. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to the third installment.
